Should You Buy a Non-Slate Pool Table?

You Get What You Pay For If You Do.....

In recent times, we've seen a few NZ Suppliers offering out mdf/board top pool tables for between $750 and $2000. It seems like a good price but should you buy one?
Pool Tables are traditionally made using a slate bed for a reason. Slate is true and level and, provided the table itself supplies adequate support, will remain true for longer than you are alive.
The same cannot be said about most if not all board top pool tables. Some board top tables are such poor quality that they are warped before they are even delivered to client's houses.
So, whilst you might think that a board top pool table is an option, if you want a pool table that is playable for anything more than 12 months - then think again - buying slate is always better........
